Not a Minor, but a 1935 Rover stolen from Kettering.

This car was stolen from a lockup in Kettering, Northants. It was in unrestored condition, and the registration number was VV 3548
I hope it's ok to post this here, as it isn't a Minor, but the owner is understandably very upset. If people could keep a look out for it, especially those living in the Northants area, I would be grateful.

With the price of scrap very high earlier in the year anything was getting weighed in. We had a spate of drain covers and road signs been stolen to be weighed in, not to mention lead from roofs and copper pipes from houses!!. The price of scrap has fallen now though so not so much of an issue....

A bit of good news. The car has been found after being advertised on Ebay. The listing was pulled by Ebay after the owner posed as a bidder to view it, found several points that proved it was his car, and reported it. The seller claimed he had bought the car in good faith and has been able to help the police with names and addresses. I have spoken to the owner and he is currently trying to sort out more secure storage for the Rover. Luckily, there seems to be no damage.

I can only imagine the owners relief when it turned up again undamaged. Glad it's back where it belongs.
