Re: Stolen Morris Van
It's got to the point where there's MORE financial gain to be had by either swopping identities, then selling them on,OR hiding them away and breaking them up and selling the bits!
I doubt many stolen roadworthy Minor's make it to the scrapyard immedietly!
Again, would advise owners to record their vehicles' cab/body numbers!!
My Pater and myself remove the interior door remote & window winder handles, fit bkts to the inside of the o/s/r doors - vans without yale locks obviously - so even with a key the back drs won't open......perhaps a bit extreme....?!
Vehicles are NEVER safe unless bolted down, the best we can do is make it as difficult as possible for car thieves!!

Did they say if it was a particular area of the country that is suffering an increased number of thefts?rdm5555 wrote:my insurance company phoned me yesterday and asked me to fit more security as Minors are currently being stolen to order, they have had 3 claims this week alone.

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

Re: Stolen Morris Van
The West Country seems to have more than it's fair share of thefts, been that way for a while
