The house burgar alarm has been replaced, the garden gates are padlocked and chained, the shed and garage are double locked and the dog will bark as if possessed if he hears anything within 50 yards of the house. And the security lights will light up the front and back of the house.
I remember the days when my grand parents never locked their back door.

We have moved house and have enough security lights for a football stadium plus a newly installed burglar alarm and the dog still barks if anyone comes near. The cars are locked in the garage and I have been given a "65 gear" cycle which is also locked away but I still miss my Holdsworth cycle.

Have a camera installed really cheap now and puts thieves off
