I was planning to swap the water pump over with all the rest of the external parts, I assume that it fits?

No - the 803 pump won't fit a 1098. At least - it's not a straight swop - it 'may' be possible to make it fit - but I'm no expert on the 803 engine. But honestly - once painted up - it will not be too obvious.

At least it doesn't have '950' cast in the side as a dead give-away......
it will have a raised boss that holds the '1100' tag to the block - the boss will take more time to grind away than the "950".

If you shop around, you can get versions with and without the mechanical fuel pump blank plate.

I already have the engine now. The "boss" will have to go and holes drilled and tapped for the missing plate bolt and breather tube support.
