Hi all,
I took old and new trunnions and put them together.. The trunnions I bought from Bullmotif (same as esm model I asked both) are 6cm in height (the metal casing that is) the ones on the car are made by a company called Allena and they are 6.5 cm long..
I have no idea why that would be the case!
apparently according to allen from morris minor centre there are different brands of trunnions? how confusing! i just bought mine from bullmotif you'd think they're all the same but no!
NEW TRUNNIONS 6cm - TOO SHORT
OLD TRUNNION - 6.5cm
I found on the weekend when trying to do a trunnion swap that the new bottom trunnions I bought were about 0.5 cm short
Thanks,
Tom

As long as they wind on far enough to fit the fulcrum pin they should be ok. Don't forget to pack them with grease before you fit them

It's a tiny difference Get over it!! The casing matters not a jot - the thread is the important part.

So worst case your minor is 5mm higher on one side?
I'd stick them on and measure the total combined length of the legs each side.
I'll bet you a biscuit it makes no noticeable difference.

What would Macgyver do..?
