Perhaps one of the better articles I have read on the subject! And have been doing alot of reading lately as I've had 2 sets of poly bushes fail prematurely in the upper trunnion due to lack of lubrication.. I think the cons outweigh the pros for daily driving and I'll be going back to rubber:

http://www.netbug.net/blogmichael/?p=103 would love to know what people think!

I think part of the reason for people turning too these is the poor quality of rubber components these days, if original quality parts were available there wouldn't be such a call for them.
For my money the best thing to fit in a Minor eye bolt is a Metalastic bush, they seem to last for ever without any issues.

I have black poly bushes in the top trunnion for almost 10 years now - they look like new - absolutely no problem. Smear of moly grease on assembly. I had poly on my Mini too - much better handling - with a solid mount subby of course.
