Pistons identify help
I have a set of pistons and rings for sale..been asked a few times what size...can anyone help me..they have std. Cb on each of them....thanks in advance
Re: Pistons identify help
1098 or 948?
Re: Pistons identify help
It would be impossible to determine what vehicle they are from just by the word standard on the piston. You would have to supply the diameter( as mentioned) number of rings and the size of the dish in the piston crown ( for low or high compression) are you sure they are for Morris Minor?
Re: Pistons identify help
Sorry for the slow reply..the pistons are 63 mm accross...there are 8 rings in total...

Re: Pistons identify help
That doesn't make sense to me, you must have counted multi-piece rings and expanders as seperate rings, so,there are 8 rings in total...
"How many grooves for rings on each piston?"
Talk slow, think fast!

Re: Pistons identify help
I'd say it's from a 950cc car, and it's a Hepolite 5 ring piston according to books I have looked at.
