Post by Neil MG »

I am interested to hear comments from anyone who has bought the 5 speed conversion kit from Moss.

Neil, I'm in the process of installing the kit along with a 1275 engine in my traveller. Purchased it directly from Frontline though rather than Moss as it was less expensive. Installation thus far has been fairly straight forward. It's dragging on a bit for me through no fault of the kit but because I've got a couple of other projects which have been taking priority recently.

Thanks for the reply,

Does your gearbox have the shortened remote to bring the gear lever out in the standard position? This is the main difference between the kit Moss offer and the conversions that, say, Charles Ware offer.

Also are you using the hydraulic clutch or the mechanical one?

Yes, it's the Frontline kit that Moss sells. It has the shortened remote. I'm using the mechanical clutch linkage on my box.
