Oil leak

Got a oil leak on my gear box ,were it meets the propshaft ,is the seal easy to replace cheers .Thanks for all the advice .

Can be difficult with the box in the car. Drain the oil first.

Yep very awkward when doing it under the car, I used Stillsons to twist it off.

It surprises me when people say that, because the cap is crimped in two places, the crimps push the metal into a recess in the gearbox tail, so requires relieving in those two places with a fine bladed angle grinder. THEN it can be twisted off. Not doing this will damage the aluminium tail!

With the Stillies on the seal end and a twist and a wiggle it came off no problem without damage to the gearbox
