clutch linkage quality

Hello. Iv just come to refit my clutch linkage but its all very worn and the bushes are broken. Are the new ones good quality? Or would I be better off just changing the broken bits and worrying about the wear later on. I'm only asking this due to some replacement parts being poor quality and not lasting. The kits only around £30.

Changed my mind. Will definitely be replacing it all. Where's the best place to get the kit quality wise?

You've obviously rightly decided that it's not worth doing the job twice! It's difficult to advise on quality, most stuff probably comes from the same original source but I've generally been happy with parts from esm. At least they won't be worn to start with!

The kit through bull seems to come with more bits. Has anyone fitted a polybush into the linkage? Don't want to do the job twice but with less quality parts you have to anyway. I go through this with my landy.

I used to use a cut down Series 3 damper bush before poly bushes became available. Worked well.

Britpart parts? They seem to be worse than the worst minor bits. I've reluctantly decided to get original parts for my Landy.

Yes brit part is the worst with some things. Seals a waste of time. Tho some things you cant say no to as they can be so cheap!

Didnt know you had a kit. Still haven't fitted the seals yet.

That is a photo of a complete kit but it I can also make up just the linkages separately which would be a lot cheaper.
The relay shaft can be bought from the usual suppliers and the dust boots which are from the UK anyway could also be bought separately. They are quite expensive!

I recommend installing the rose jointed adjusting rod to take all the play out of the linkage.
Posting to Australia is no problem.
