I have an oil leak which i believe is coming out of the oil dipstick.
The engine is a low milage Ivor Searl build so im thinking its not worn pistons an high crancase pressure.
The dipstick is loose in the tube and is steel
It does have a felt washer on the base.
I have seen plastic dipsticks advertised which appear to have an O ring fitted for use on all A series engines
Has anyone any experience of these ?

Re: 1275 cc Oil Leak
Crank cases will always get some blow-by from the pistons. Checking that the crankcase ventilation is working properly would be first on my list - after checking to see if there is a positive pressure in there...
