Earth strap to body, and bonnet bump rubbers

Post by niftyrodman »

I would assume that the earth strap from the battery would bolt to the fuel pump mount. Is that correct? The two front bonnet rubbers on the inner guards, were they originally fastened with bolts, or self tappers, or maybe special bolts that were stepped.
Thanks for your help.

The earth strap can be fitted to any suitable bolt hole including the fuel pump mount holes.

Bonnet rubbers secured with Bolt Pt No: AJD1246Z (Moss) & spacer Pt No: ADB4617 (Moss).

My earth strap has always been bolted to the side of the battery tray.

I have a Battery switch fitted but the earth strap is in its original position.
From memory my bonnet rubber originally had a cross head bolt through a spacer. I have replaced mine with a stainless steel Allen bolt. Hope this helps.
