I would assume that the earth strap from the battery would bolt to the fuel pump mount. Is that correct? The two front bonnet rubbers on the inner guards, were they originally fastened with bolts, or self tappers, or maybe special bolts that were stepped.

The earth strap can be fitted to any suitable bolt hole including the fuel pump mount holes.
Bonnet rubbers secured with Bolt Pt No: AJD1246Z (Moss) & spacer Pt No: ADB4617 (Moss).

My earth strap has always been bolted to the side of the battery tray.
From memory my bonnet rubber originally had a cross head bolt through a spacer. I have replaced mine with a stainless steel Allen bolt. Hope this helps.
