Sometimes after engaging the clutch and as soon as the gears have power a rattle like a bag full of nuts and a scratching is present.
The mystery is the duration. I can drive 50 miles or more without that noise. But after parking the car and starting again it happens, that the noise is present in every gear. It comes and goes. Pressing the clutch briefly let it disappear but it comes back after a short time if it is in the rattle mode. After parking the car again for a longer time it may be that the noise keeps absent. All the time no loss of adhesion or traction can be noticed
It definitly has its cause in rotation.
If it would be a modern car I guess it would be the release bearing.
Any hints for further investigation without dismantling?
It is not this problem

Could be a broken release bearing spring?

Have you tried rotating the engine while underneath and giving it a listen?

Re: gear or clutch - rattle and scratching
Until now I did not have the chance to get beneath the car.
I can imagine your guess maybe the fault. If it is such a roller bearing the rollers may be toast. I don't know what is inside because the car is new to me.

Shame on my ears (which are equipped with earphones)!
When my son in law drove the car and I was outside the terrible sound was easy to determine. It was the belt!
