Xflow Mounting & Radiator

Post by EYV65 »

Currenlty fitting the xflow in my van, has anyone got any dimensions for engine mounting brackets? i have the original ones, but i have seen others make up the second ones to go onto the engine bay.

Also, can the moggie rad be used? or have others used a Cortina or Escort rad? would love to use moggie rad really but i want whatever is best really

Any help would be much appreciated

Engine size? HP? Bigger, more powerful engines produce more heat. That said, the Moggie rads are generally well over-sized (for UK climate).

Presuming a Ford engine - the engine mounts were fitted very much the same on all the blocks from the one litre rake-back Anglia until the CVH engines, as I recall. We, at least, did not have any trouble swapping engines, in Fords, back in those times.

It's a 1600 ford xflow, I know people do make an extra engine mount to attach to the engine bay, but it would be helpful to have some dimensions and picture as I would want to make one for my engine.
