Replacing the diff is the easiest.
There are usually several on 'e' bay at reasonable prices.

You are better off with sawdust.
Changing the oil will not make it better.

I've tried oil treatments before such as Molyslip but can't say whether I expienced a real difference or a placebo.
eBay diffs could be worse, an exchange recon diff is the only sure answer I've found.
