Advice needed please. I am not mechanically minded so have to rely on my mechanic.
Both front wheel bearings will soon need replacing (1000 Saloon). They were replaced only 2 years ago but play remains. The replacements were standard SUS166 bearing kits obtained from David Manners.
My mechanic has suggested that the quality of bearings these days is not good. Options considered are changing the bearings, the spacer and possibly the hub assembly as well.
My questions:
1. What are considered to be the best bearings to buy and from where? Bull Motif advertised a Front wheel bearing kit SUS166A which they described as "vastly superior". I know that they no longer do Morris Minor parts and that ESM have taken over their stock. Are these bearings any better in people's experience?
2. Would anyone have any good second hand fully complete hub assemblies with the bearings already installed, to sell?
