Series II engine dying
I wonder if anyone could give me some advice. I have a series II split screen Minor. It starts well and runs well on the choke and seems to warm up well so that the choke can be put back in. However, after a time the engine starts to die, the fuel gauge drops to zero and the engine cuts out. You can stop it from cutting out if you give it a little gas, but when you take your foot off it the engine revs drop and the engine dies.
Re: Series II engine dying
the fuel gauge dropping to zero would indicate that the ignition is switching off, probably caused by a worn switch, try wiggling the key as it starts to stall if it comes back to life then there lies your fault good luck
