Can someone please advise if the flywheel on my 1098cc should be shiny ( where the clutch contact is ) as in picture please. ?

The shiny face of the flywheel face is normal. The shine is caused by the flywheel spinning against the stationary driven/centre plate when the clutch pedal is depressed.
Even if you roughed up the flywheel face it will revert to shiny in a very short time.

I noticed that and guessed he was in the midst of removing the flywheel when he took the photo.... but then you never know... :)

Could do with some new flywheel bolt locking tabs.
Locking tabs are best used once.
