timing chain queerie

Post by cococola »

My Morris convertible 1098 engine is due for a timing chain replacement as it is rattling and I wonder...
Is it a easy enough job to do with any tips and should I replace the sprockets as a kit or chain on its own?
many thanks

You will find some 90 pages of 'Timing Chain Replacement' results of you use the Site Search.
Should be all the info you could possibly require.

Replace the simplex (single row) chain with a duplex (twin row) chain kit and forget having to change the timing chain/gears for some considerable time.
