I would get it sprayed but have seen some nice jobs done with a brush but i have also seen some bad ones. Why are you coach painting when you own a spray shop ?

Not that I would want to paint my Royal Mail van with coach paint, but I would like to learn a bit about coach painting.
Dose anyone know of any books on the subject ?

We did my mate's Austin 10 using coach paint (I hear the purists weeping from here ). It turned out great and always has a brilliant shine on it even when it's been left outside and not washed for months (I hear more gentle weeping ). It wasn't a problem to spray and can be thinned down using almost anything.

I think primrose on here recently painted their car with coach paint (or was considering it). It would be good to see some pics of how it went if they read this.

I've seen some great brush painted cars around town, it can look great if the prep is done well.

That's great, did you hand paint it ? ... looking for a decent two door saloon to buy for my son, so he can join "young members", now 17 with a full licence. Any leads to josh-farrell@hotmail.com

Many thanks to all, for the replys.

Crossed wires... that's the finish you get with coach paint.

If your son is on facebook tell him to search for "MMOC Young Members" and to request to join the group :D
