morris minor wheel colour?

gunna spray the wheels on my morris minor its a black split screen side valve I was thinking red any recommendations? here it is http://www.mmoc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=50130

I always though red looked rather tacky, Cream would be my choice, breaks up the black abit. Depends how non-standard you want it to look.

The correct colour should be black.

Mine are Old English White as they are new rims from ESM but they will be powder coated gloss Black when time and funds permit. :D[frame]Image[/frame]

I used ' FORD - Diamond white ' from halfords. Its the same colour they used to spray transit vans and works well.[frame]Image[/frame]

it would be a dark red and the car would be lowered

Personally seeing its a splitty side valve I would keep the wheels in black to match the car, especially if the wheels are the cars originals (they should have a hole where you can adust the brakes without taking the wheels completely off).

i need new wheels, the ones i have are pulling through on the wheel bolts, does anyone know if i can install studs into the drums?

Some motorsport specialists do a stud'n'nut conversion kit for cars with wheel bolts (to speed up wheel changes when racing/rallying), but I doubt if they'll be the right thread for a Series MM.

If you can sort this out, you could always fit A60 wheels. They're the same PCD, and have a 4" rim giving you a wider choice of tyres.
