Front wings for 71 Traveller

Post by MalcolmD »

I'm replacing the front wings on my Traveller and wonder if there should be a beading inserted between the wing and the bulkhead along the top edge that the bonnet shuts down on --

Sorry, Dumdum is a sealant not a personal comment.

I wouldn't suggest DumDum myself as it isn't suitable for overpainting. A caulking sealant is more suitable really.
Early models did have a plastic beading as used on the rear wings so there is no reason why you can't do this if you prefer.

I was looking for some Dum Dum last year and found it very hard to get hold of.
