Hi,
I am trying to source a set of aluminium panels for my Traveller. ESM and Charles Ware both have all of them but the front-right panel. Are there any other places that I can try?
Thanks,
James

Re: Traveller Aluminium Panels
There are a few dozen Morris Minor specialists, most of whom advertise in the club magazine. If you use any search engine on your computer you'll find lots too. I bought my aluminium panels from Steve Foreman at Woodies.
Re: Traveller Aluminium Panels
Thanks. I should have said that I've tried Googling other Morris Minor specialists who might have panels but to no avail. I was hoping that someone might know a specific place that has the panels. In my experience though, these things seem to go out everywhere, much like what happened with (I think it was left) top trunnions recently. I've attempted to order the set of panels from Woodies but I'm still waiting for a reply from them. I suppose I might have to resort to buying a second hand panel that's in better condition than mine (they are all very corroded around the edges and full of a million drill holes.)
Thanks,
James

Re: Traveller Aluminium Panels
Can you not just buy some sheet aluminium and use your old one as a template to make one ?

Yes, I'm looking for the same thing. I thought about making my own from an aluminium panel But I don't have a guillotine so cutting a straight square line is tricky. I did wonder about buying a right-hand side one and carefully flattening it out and bending it the other way to fit the left hand?
It's so weird they don't have them in stock but the right-hand ones are fine. The other possibility is to go to a metal fabrication company and get them to make one but it'd be more I think than the £40 ESM charge

Re: Traveller Aluminium Panels
If you want to cut your own panel I can recommend using one of the cutters in the link below.
https://www.frost.co.uk/drill-nibbler-m ... et-cutter/
Here is a used cutter.

All spare parts are available. I have just replaced the punch in my own Falcon nibbler.

Re: Traveller Aluminium Panels
I've ordered all the other panels in case they go out of stock too. Unfortunately I think making a panel is beyond my abilities. I received a reply from Woodies saying that they're not stocking any panels at the moment. I've e-mailed both ESM and Charles Ware to see if they know anything about when they might come back in stock so fingers crossed. otherwise, I think I'll just go for a second hand panel. I'm keeping the rear door panels anyway so it's not like they'll all be new.

Re: Traveller Aluminium Panels
If you can make an accurate CAD drawing you can have them laser cut-not that expensive at all. If you need help creating a CAD drawing give me a shout. I do it everyday of the week.
