Seats from a Rover 45

Post by leafie »

Hi all,

Has anybody tried to fit the front seats from a Rover 45 to a Minor? Seen a few sets on ebay and am wondering if they are a possibility.

I would have though they were a little wide, but its got to be worth an email to one of the sellers for the dimensions to see if its practical.
Cheers

I've always rather fancied a front bench seat.

Sounds like you need a Land Rover :)

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

As promised

Dimensions are
length of base 570mm
max width base 520mm
max width back 480mm

there is more than enough room to allow easy access to gearstick, handbrake and seatbelts.
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.

If rear access wasn't a problem I would to try this out.

The same way it did with all the LCVs in Australia, which were fitted with them :D
