Hi, Im restoring a 1961 2-dr minor, the interior has been replaced at some point as it now has the late 60's vinyl, I'm planning on putting back the original red leather to regain it's 'deluxe' status. The front parcel shelf has been covered in red vinyl to match the seats but I was just wondering for when I recover it in leather should it really be red or black?
I know it shouldn't really matter but as i'm recovering it anyway I might as well get it right!
Thanks
What colour's your parcel shelf?!

I think the early parcel shelf was white and the later ones black.
The red leather is, I think, a later attractive modification. The only colour available new now is black. Hobsons choice I'm afraid.
I expect someone will be along soon with the dates and specifications!
However if your going to recover it Red Leather would look good!
