A BIG hammer  But seriously, a nylon ended mallet will come in very handy. Also things like and angle grinder, ball joint splitter, axle stands and a jack.

You'll need a set of screwdrivers every size they make in both metric and imperial as by the time these dear old ladies need fixing loads of people have used whatever screw happened to be handy at the time!

How big is your wallet and how big is your garage. The answer is immaterial because neither will ever be quite big enough.
Vice, bench grinder, angle grinder, compressor air tools. it depends how much you want to play. :D Good luck :D

In that case definatly get a 4.5 inch grinder with some discs and a wire brush, you'll use it loads.

Oh and did we say get a hammer. You can never have too many. I'm on about 10 and there are still some more I need :)

I don't think you can ever have enough tools, I can always think of something I need when Christmas & birthday comes round!

Some whitworth sockets would be good though, not got these yet - apart from the one for the steering wheel.

No idea!

In Excess in West End occaisionally stocks odd sizes. Best bet is ebay and autojumbles

A good motto with the moggy is - "if it doesn't work, hit it. If it still doesn't work, find a bigger hammer!"

Not cheap as such but I ordered mine from Lawsons on Millbrook road East (have an account there) took a few days to come through but English make and on own socket rail.

http://www.lawson-his.co.uk/scripts/pro ... 0%28BSW%29

Its the top one on this page but no Photos.

Also do Whitworth Combi spanner sets

http://www.lawson-his.co.uk/scripts/pro ... 0%28BSW%29

I can bring them along to a Sadmog meet if you want to see them.

Hi
Try Williamsons
http://www.whitworthspanners.com/
They often have sets of spanners and sockets which are secondhand
I got three of the tappet spanners for my side valve MM and a set of spanners and sockets
Give them a try
Ian

 :D

I deliberatly avoided saying the makers name to prevent any silly jokes and I still get them. :D

Wibbs,

They're 12 point sockets but i believe they drive on the flats not the corners.
I've got the 7 piece socket set

1/8,3/16,1/4,5/16,3/8,7/16,1/2

and the 5 piece combination spanner set

1/8,3/16,1/4,5/16,3/8

So far found this does most jobs I need to do.
