Hi,
The boot lock is upside down and wont lock even though the key slots in properly and rotates freely.
I have taken the handle off but would apprecite it if anyone has any advice and possibly diagrams on the disassemly and reassembly of the boot lock.

Re: Boot Lock
If you mean the handle is upside down then remove the screw on the back of the shaft, pull the handle out and turn it around.
You may find that with the boot locked the shaft still turns slightly. Try adjusting the catch plate

Re: Boot Lock
O.K.
I did it. I took a screwdriver to the end and prised the end cap off, then took off the washers.
Once it was apart the locking stud was seized.
It spins to position once the lock works.
Another little job sorted.
Paul.

Like most things on the minor, its all fairly self explanitory when dissasembled. The trick is in re-assembly

Re: Boot Lock
Guess what I broke at the weekend?
Boot handle is now 90 degrees off where it should be, still locks and unlocks though (although you can only remove the key in the locked position)

Re: Boot Lock
Take the handle out and replace it 90 degrees from where it is now.
Although I can remove my key in the unlocked position, not being able to could count as a security feature!
