My 1961 2-door came with later seats when I bought it, the rear seat was fastnened back with the later style wingbolts but apparently up until late 1961 they had a 'lift the dot' method to attach, pre-57 was on the rear shelf and up to 61 was in the boot. Has anyone got a photo of this?
Thanks

Great, thanks, and thanks Dean for the photos. I had a look at our 57 4-door and noticed the pin is still on the back shelf but it is missing the actual strap from the seat. Was the sort inside the boot on the slightly later cars more of a normal coat fastening popper? as i found one loose in the car on a yukon grey backplate when I stripped it down and didnt know what it was!

Mines an april 61 and although it has later seats with wing bolts, there doesn't seem to be any sign of a lift the dot fastener ever been there.

If the popper i found on my '61 was the original it came off very easily as it just glued on.
Interestingly though i've just found the early style pin as shown in Dean's photos fitted on the backshelf of my '63!
