Refurb steel wheels
I have just had 5 very rusty crust van wheels blasted , there is now some quite large pits , what would the best filler to use to bring them level with the surrounding metal

If there are large pits - stopper will not restore the strength of the metal.
At a future date the possibility of the stopper/thinned metal blowing through (especially concerning if tubeless tyres have been fitted) causing the sudden deflation of the tyre with unknown consequences is a reality.
A picture of the corrosion pits would be helpful.

It's worth paying particular attention to the area around the valve hole, I've seem many of these van wheels in a rather bad state with metal thinning, which can compromise the valve sealing, and its not an easy area to weld without distorting the hole. Filler would be a big mistake.

Decided to scrap the worst wheel with the valve hole rusted and going to weld the worst of the remaining then a thin scim of filler
