thats a lovley car i would not worry about using a strobe light for the timing just set upa fast idle and rotate the distributer till it idles smoothly. then back it off a small amount . go for a drive up a hill if it pinks back off a bit more , if it doesnt leave it alone . thats as good as it will get , petrol has changed since they wrote the manual
