STORAGE SPACE

Post by djk3816 »

My 1960 Minor 1000 does not have the under dash shelf so storage is scarce. Does anyone know if one can buy side pockets to fix to the front doors or alternatively something that fits over the transmission tunnel to stash bits and pieces ?

Why not just buy a parcel shelf and fit it?

That would seem the simple answer to me too.
Every Minor 1000 left the factory with one so it should be simple enough to fit a replacement.

I think this would be the shelf. However the padded bar at the front would possibly be needed https://www.morrisminorspares.com/body- ... -d-p828897

The great thing about the Minor shelves is that they’re so frail that they won’t break your legs in the event of a sudden stop... now the equivalent item on my beetle is of such outstanding quality that it would be guaranteed to sever all lower extremities! That’s why it’s been removed.
Halfrauds used to sell stick on door pockets, but I’ve not seen them lately. Doubt that there’s much demand for them these days.
