Windscreen Replacement tool

Post by Bubblemechanic »

I was wondering if anybody has a windscreen replacement tool for the chrome insert that I could possibly borrow these are one of those items that you would not probably use again after fitting the windscreen so if anyone has one and I could borrow then I would get it back to them ASAP

You may well need it again when your current screen breaks or you want to fit an upgrade such as a heated screen (highly recommended). It's one of those things that is useful to have. It would be great if someone could lend you one, but the link provided on your other thread would allow you to buy one. Whilst the price may seem high, it's comparable with this: https://www.wilks.co.uk/catalogsearch/result/?q=tool and by the time that you have purchased components and tried to make your own, it's not that bad. There are other offerings on Ebay such as https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from ... l&_sacat=0. The alternative is to just take longer and work it in with care and a blunt screwdriver. Make sure that the rubber is warm and pliable, and use suitable lubrication.
