National Rally 2014?

Post by davidtbrown »

Greetings from Niagara on the Lake, Ontario, Canada.
I wonder if any decisions have been made about the date and location of the 2014 National Rally. I attended my first and only such rally back in 2010 at Harewood House, Leeds, and had a wonderful time (and then proceeded to find a 1968 Traveller for sale in East Lothian and ship it home as a souvenir of the visit!!).

There is a good chance that I will be back in the UK this summer, and I'd love to add the 2014 National Rally to my list of activities. Any info would be appreciated, here or at dbrown@brocku.ca .

Cheers, and thanks, Dave Brown

Welcome! I remember meeting you when you came into the Regalia tent (I was Regalia Manager then) Glad you found the car.

The 2014 National Rally will be held over the weekend of 28/29 June at Kelmarsh Hall, Kelmarsh, Northampton NN6 9LY.

These are all the details we have at present.

The current edition of Minor Matters should have the tnery form with it - probably on the reverse of the address "label". Should be with you any day now. Probably also be available for download soon.

We would like to attend the national rally 2014, also will be camping for the weekend and need to book a pitch with electric hook up, how do we get an application form?? I gather there was one on the back of the address label the mag arrived in, but didn't realise this so the envelope was recycled!!!!! so where do we go from here??

The National Rally link on the home page takes you to last years International Rally. Would make finding information for this years rally easier if the home page link be changed to this years Rally

Shouldn't the National Rally link from the homepage now take you to details of the 2014 event not last years centenary? It's a bit embarrassing that there are NO details there for 2014! Even a location and date would be a start, but with a shade over a month to go before the event I would have thought the info that is currently in Minor Matters could be replicated here. It was mentioned by the previous poster in April and sadly nothing seems to have changed!!

Where did you hear that there is a 'no dogs policy' this year? :-? There was last year, due to the venue being part of a deer park, but as far as I'm aware Kelmarsh doesn't have a 'no dogs' policy - it didn't last time the National was held there.

Just a quick question to clarify things before I send in the form. Am I right in thinking that the cost of a camping pitch is seperate from the entry fee and so I will need to pay for the pitch and then the entry fee for each individual person?

The rally fee is per car. The camping fee is per pitch. The party tickets are per person.

So for a motorhome I would pay the pitch price and then for rally entry would it be the rally entry for the vehicle of £12 or would it become each individual being as you would you would be there already?
