National Rally 2011

Post by Matt Tomkins »

I see that it's in Knebworth from the 1st to the 3rd of July (correct me if i'm wrong)

who's planning on going?

Baring disasters i should be there - probably the Friday and the Sunday, unless i can miss work and camp over (is that possible)

Are we going to have a young owners' stand?

If I can get my build finished by then I will be there for the weekend I expect, haven't been to one before, but it is a bare shell at the moment so that may not happen! Will hope to pop up for a day either way

i'm glad they don't! could you imagine it? you've seen what happened to the mini and the beetle, shadows of their former selves, iconic names wheeled out to help shift an all new model. it'd be awful!

nobody should do it, unless their name is Heap.

Oh, and i should be there at the national! Missed out on being on the young'uns stand last year, nobody told me!

will probably only be there on the sunday though, you'll be honoured to hear that i'm leaving a 'Network' Scout camp early just for the national! normally the national is the last weekend in june and they don't clash, but i've put my foot down, and am trying to get to both, although it'll mean an early start on the sun and a drive from cheltenham (where the camp is) to knebworth!

Do I count as a young member at 24? If so, ill be there. In what? Who knows. depends if Morris sells or not. Otherwise he'll be there representing the rolling-resto-rat-s^*t box-skip branch of the MMOC!

yes 24 is certainly still young! I'll be at the national all weekend and camping, I'll definitely be in a minor but I don't know which one yet!

At this time of year, June always seems like forever away. I hope to be there and have my Minor up and running by then too.
