Metropolitan Police Panda

Post by M1TCH »

Hi.

I'm new to this board. But certainly not new to the Morris Minor scene. I'm just ten years+ behind where i used to be.

I used to run the Panda Minor Register over ten years ago. Still owning but not driving my Metropolitan Police Panda. Change in circumstances made me drop off the planet with all things Minor. And now i'm looking to find out who runs the Panda Register now and if they want any of the photos i found while clearing out the garage.

I'm also looking to sell my Panda too. I'm based in Essex and have no idea how much she is worth. Was last driven back in 2001 and been garaged since. Looking a bit sorry for herself. Dusty and a few rust spots. Tyres need pumping up and the brakes are probably locked on now. There was nothing wrong with her when i drove her into the garage. Although the battery is probably flat now. LOL.

Can anyone help?

Welcome to the messageboard. The person who runs the Police Register is Simon Mitchell and he is based in Essex too. He is a regular visitor here so should be along shortly (I've sent him a message to let him know you wish to contact him). He can also be contacted by email: police (at) mmoc.org.uk

Does anyone have a list of what registrations the Met force used? For example is ELB 584J a Met car or just a London registered car... I ask for a reason ;)

London pandas definately used ELB registrations, can't vouch for that one as it's not my field.
Does it have a zip in the headlining? That's a good give away!

If I had the time to go look at it I know the usual giveaways... it's just finding the time. Thought someone might know by the reg.
