hello does anyone know what the small plate on the top left handside of the engine bay is for.its painted the same colour as the car. Another question is can i tell the cars I.D from having the engine number and this other small plate?

That is the body number(s). I'm trying to figure out exactly what they mean but I need more data yet which I'm hoping to get at some larger rallies.
If you contact the Heritage centre in Gaydon they might be able to search their records based on your body and engine number but it's probably going to cost around £30. Give them a ring.

out of interest does anybody know if any one reproduces the plate with this number down at the inner wing where the bumper bolts to? So many minors dont have this plate any more.

They just seem to disintigrate over time. Well thats ok. I'll worry about that if I ever go concourse. (with my car, unlikely)
