Post by badobsession »

hi all looking for some advise on gearing of my recently purchased pickup
it has a 1275 cc ital. with a Dustan 5 speed box on to a 9/38 back diff
this is the way i got it and the engine feels good and runs well the gear box is a dream but it seems to be revving its hart out even in 5th is sounds to high.
(running 14" x185/ 60 all round )
was wondering if any one had or is running any thing similar and can advise me on what diff i need .
thanks mark..

its good to be back..... 8)

Hi Mark did you mean a Datsun gearbox if so you may be better off contacting the Aussie forum as this is not a gearbox that is used very often in the UK but is quite common down under, maybe the box is a low ratio one perhaps I cant offer any more help as I have never actually come across this particular conversion.
Cheers
