Looking for second hand retractable seatbelts, anyone know suitable donor cars from the scrappy, I'm based in Germany so European models would be preferable? Also my 71 Van has a Silver seal 1275 spridget unit, anyone know where I can find out more about these, i.e. what cams, oversize pistons, distributor they would have used, and the difference between these and the Gold seal?

Yes, the belts went straight in, although the fittings on the prop shaft tunnel are
flexible stalks. I just used very large
washers to spread the load and used them
successfully for ten years. Afraid i never
knew the year but it wasnt the first Cortina
and would imagine that any of the later ones
would be ok. Don't take them off of a crashed
car though,for obvious reasons
