Drive it Day April 17th

Post by pao7psb »

Hi,

Are there any Moggie-specific events going on for Drive it Day this year?

Here is a link to what some other clubs are up to, might tag along to the Chiltern Vehicle Preservation Groups activity.

Cheers,

Paul.

Incorrect - I assume you are not English, or you should know that St Georges day is 23 April

Drive it day is designated by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs as a day when we should all spread the word & get our Classics out & about.

Not specifically for Moggies but SHVPS have arranged a classic car meet in Southsea, Portsmouth. Free to attend but you can let them know you are coming on the following website.

http://www.shvps.org.uk/page2.html

There were a dozen or more Moggies last year.

This venue has now changed.... We are now going back to East Gwent following the A48 from Newport to Chepstow Castle then onto Tintern Abbey and the Wye Valley. Please see the events section or PM me for more info.

The Drive it Day is normally held on the closest Sunday to St. George's Day but as St. George's Day falls on Easter Sunday this year Drive it Day is being held a week early

Well is call today a huge success. I saw two pre war vans, one with l plates! A mint condition white minor van, a mustard yellow Beatles with the tiny back Windows... so a Damn early one! A Ford 100e van, and a lovely jowett javelin that had me drooling.
