need to order the locking nuts that hold the flexible pipe to the bracket, can't tighten things up till I have those. This shot is taken through the headlamp aperture, to look at it you wouldn't think outer wings were fitted.

also on the waiting list is the pin for the master cylinder fork, the old one is clearly worn on the spot where the pedal puts pressure on it[frame][/frame]

The way you have this fitted means that if you have to remove the backplate for any reason, you will have to undo the copper, or unbolt the trunnion. If you run the copper under the lower arm then it might make future maintenance easier.

Thank for the offer Taup, very generous of you, I had a dig out of box's of old bits from the basket case and I whooped audibly when I found this spare accelerator pedal guard, but it was kind of you to offer thanks. I also dug out the pedal rubber pads to go with them, full set!

underneath the lower arm would be a step in the right direction, but it's meant to feed between trunnion and backplate where there is a handy indent that gives plenty of room for the pipework!

the rear shocks arrived from bull motif today, they went right from the postman to the rear of the truck in one easy motion. Its nice to get easy jobs from time to time.[frame][/frame]

finaly got the bridging pieces of the front brake pipes on correctly, there is a nice little grooved area under there for them to slip into, thanks for the help and advice there gents.[frame][/frame]

That looks much better, long time till that will need to be moved, especially if you schlep some grease round it to stop dirt and water getting in-between the pipe and fixing.

just had a thought, shouldnt there be a copper washer where the flexi hose goes into the cylinder? can't make one out in the pic.
i'd put a bit of grease or something on the exposed thread on the end of the bottom trunnion pin, or you'll find that when you come to take the nut off, it'll lock up on the thread and the pin will just spin! there looks a lot of thread exposed on there too, is there the same amount exposed on the other end?
