On our way home north on Monday spotted a convertible on a trailer heading south with it's roof in tatters. Hopefully going to be restored as the car was ok.
I was overtaken by a green saloon going like the clappers on the A1 southbound just outside Knebworth on the way home. I then didn't see any more until almost home in East London when I overtook a smoke grey 2 door in Woodford Green. The car was loaded up and the elderly male driver gave me a smile so I think he had been at the rally
I'd only just joined the A1 so probably around 50 - 55mph. I do drive a bit faster than that usually but the car was loaded up with a gazebo, table, chairs, cool boxes and left over cake
I have invented a new superstition: it's good luck if you see a Moggie out and about. National Rally obviously doesn't count or we'd be splitting the Euromillions by now...

Snowdrop - 1967 4 Door Saloon
Well, yesterday anyway - 1 traveller on a recovery truck on the M5 heading south near Tewkesbury (restoration rather than breakdown I think
And about 3 in the middle of Cheltenham at the Midsummer Fiesta in Montpelier Gardens. I think there were three, but by the time we'd parked they'd left. Some other nice classics there tho', including 2 Stanley Steamers, actually in steam!
Out in Daisy and spotted a nice black '56 splitscreen 4 dr parked outside Halfords on the Sears Retail Park, Solihull - UXC 374 "Gladys" + her lady owner. We had a chat whilst Gladys had a drink of 20/50!
Saw an almond green left-hand drive Traveller today in Woodbridge, Suffolk, and again later on the A12, with a black roofrack and foreign numberplate. I think it was xx-dk-xx (the x's were numbers). Denmark?
Quite possibly Dutch, as I think their plates follow that pattern.

At home with the kids his morning, and saw some reruns of Police Camera Action on ITV4. Featured a VW camper van fire on the M25 and in the line of traffic coming past was a black MM lowlight saloon!
I clocked the date on the footage and it was 1994 so not a recent sighting by any means!
Thinking about it afterwards, I did a fair few journeys in the black MM saloon I had around that time including a foray or two on the M25. Can't remember a camper van fire though so it probably wasnt me!
cheers
Iain
