Re: Newton commercial seats
well alex, it cost 2227 for the seats, back seat covers, front door cards and back 1/4 cards and kick panels, a parcel shelf, 2 glovebox's ,headlining, carpet and a carpet for boot, so my grandad must have some money some where.

To be honest Ben, are the looks that important? Are you going to refuse an offer like that? I think it will look fantastic.
Go for it, and buy him a bottle of his favourite!

Re: Newton commercial seats
Couldda bought another complete minor!
That said, the newton stuff does look 100% amazing. Duotone will brake mathematical rules and in true 'sports motivational bs style' double that to 200% easily imho.

Re: Newton commercial seats
That's more than I paid for my whole car (and I think I paid more than it was worth!)
I like the newton seats, wish I had some with headrests, seems safer!

Re: Newton commercial seats
I agree if I had the money I would buy them in a flash, I was mearly giving hanvyj another option to get seats with headrests.
Make sure you get some pics up.

Re: Newton commercial seats
I believe newton seats are based on metro seats anyway, just with expensive covers

Yeah, I'll just keep an eye out for some to come up - no way am I spending that much! Unless I was rich or something.
I would probably try to make my own covers for metro seats first! Or, because my interior is a bit faded get everything done by someone who knows what they are doing for (probably) much less than the price of two seats like someone said above, can't be much more to do metro seats instead of standard and its something I would have to do to get it really nice anyway.

Re: Newton commercial seats
Metro seats are a little large I found.
I had a set of VDP 'leather' ones in my old minor and they frankly take up too much space.
Early Ford seats are much smaller. I'd just get a nice set of XR2/XR3 Ford seats cheap and fit them. They have the side bolsters without being too 'racey' (unlike the Recaro variety) and are pretty comfy in my experience.
You can bodge up a subrame to fit the Ford rails to fairly easily as used on their own they'd put the seat too low.
