rear wings

Hi are the rear wings the same on the series 2 as the moggy 1000, I have a 56 four door with good rear wings but not much else and need better ones on my 69 four door

If they are the original wings they will be 'high cut' - not the same as M1000 wings. However - it's highly likely they are NOT the original wings......and so may very well be the M1000 type.

and as the early type are unavailable ,if they are mint, probably worth more than the rest of the car :D :D

you can see all of the wheel, and the inner wheel arch, the later ones cover the top of the tyre and mask it from view.I think the later ones look better on the ser 2 but purist will no doubt tell me to wash my mouth out :D :D

You can "make" the early ones if you really want to keep the car original looking. IaininTenbury http://www.fairmilerestoration a poster on this site can make them for you. They cost about £85 ish each I think. :D

If you have any Morris Minor books compare the rear wings on a Series MM/2 with those on a M1000. The difference will then be obvious. The early wings only look wrong if someone has jacked the back end up by fitting 7 leaf Traveller rear springs

thanks for the advice they are later wings on the 56, just googled some pics and can see the difference now
