White D-reg traveller at Goodies fish and chip shop on the outskirts of Totton, Southampton this afternoon :D
Also saw a brown saloon in a driveway between Southampton and Ashurst, but couldn't see the year as it was only a quick glimpse of the roof!

Saw a black saloon with wedding ribbons on following some anonymous black modern car also equipped with weddign ribbons going towards Stourport on Saturday. Wondered which of the two cars the happy couple used and which was for the bridesmaids... :)

My 4 year-old daughter spotted a Morris Minor today (White Traveller, Wendover) and shouted with glee "That's a Morris Minor!", apparently making the owner's day (he was tinkering under the bonnet at the time) :D

Went to Colne Valley Railway Vintage Rally in Essex today with Tapitha, my Moggie 1000, as my contribution to Drive it Day. To my surprise there was a very large number of Minors there, more than any other classic car. They were all in very good condition and some looked better than new. I discovered that most were from the Essex Branch of the MMOC. According to the programme there were 33 Minors booked in but I only found and photographed 15, including Tapitha. Registration numbers were DWU179H, POU418G (Pick-up), RJF680G (convertible), NBF657F (modified pick-up), ANX809J, SVW979D, LOT525F, MVE710H, KVG422A, HMH931K (van), DEV827G, TFF180, RHJ417G, BRB896 and my TAP824G. May have missed one or two! A great day out at the Railway, although it rained off and on, made better by the presence of Morris Minors as I had never seen so many before.

Had a good day out yesterday colelcting a car. Spotted a grey early 1000 saloon near Evesham and a white 1000 van in, I think Stow on the Wold. It had signwriting on it but couldn't read is as it nipped past in the other direction.
Not much point waving, I was in a sprinter recovery truck... :-?
