I have a 1957 registration on retention which would look just right on that car! Even the wipers would make it feel at home.bmcecosse wrote:The owner for last 4 years has the car back - he has contacted DVLA and given them the reg number - and they confirm to him that it is a green 1970 Morris Minor - so that's all ok then !!

Until it has a mega accident and the insurers discover it's a duff - assume another car MAY have been substituted for MoT - and won't pay out, let alone IF anyone is killed!bmcecosse wrote:The owner for last 4 years has the car back - he has contacted DVLA and given them the reg number - and they confirm to him that it is a green 1970 Morris Minor - so that's all ok then !!

Re: A rare 1970 clap hands minor
you all need to get a life look at your own problems this car is my husband you dont relise how much you have upset my family
the vehicle is registered at dvla if there was a problem then dvla would have said so ,so what newer things have been put on to the car to make it look good and better he has had someone come out to check vehicle for chassis numbers and there is non to be found so get over your problems and BACK OFF

Firstly the Dvla have only issued the logbook with what information they have been given so where did the chassis numbers come from .I noticed you advertised the car on another site and brings to mind you are not bothered about what the history of the car is

Re: A rare 1970 clap hands minor
We are merely pointing out it's a late 1950s car being made to look newer - therefore, whether it upsets the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse or not, it IS illegal, and needless to say, an offence, to swop identities.

For the sake of less than £50?donna06 wrote:I don't give a dam what think thanks to nosey people the car is being scrapped
With the (original) chassis number stamped into the b/head, apply for a BHIMT Certificate.
Don't think LRBMs fitted with oval chassis plates, so prefix will be "FBx/" - If you seek advice, feel free to contact me at; pommreg@gmail.com (please avoid pm'ing as it's clogged).

Re: A rare 1970 clap hands minor
Shame to scrap but if you can't sell or don't want to give it away ------
Re: A rare 1970 clap hands minor
Don't worry - it's not been scrapped - it's STILL for sale as a 1970 Minor ! I have contacted the seller to let them know it's not what it seems... Buyer beware...

Would all posters please be aware that pointing out errors is fine but do not criticise an individual as it's against the T&Cs and will be removed.
