old style copper spark plug connectors for the HT leads
Does anyone have any idea where to obtain the old style copper spark plug connectors for the HT leads? I have seen them on 'original' cars. They are the 90 degree variety. I understand that as they are unsupressed, they may not be legal. But surely if fitted to a car which originally had them ......

Not quite, it is mainly plastic / bakelite, The ones I amateur are those in then pictures and apparently wholly copper across the whole of the 90 degree bend.
I will keep hunting.

They may be available for old stationary engines or some tractors. Magnetoes do not work well with resistive leads. Most, however may have screwed-on connectors these days.
Don't know why, but we could tell when the fordson standard was approaching the house (by the interference on the tv, or even possibly the wireless) from a good distance, but the big tractor hardly interfered from close by. Maybe it was because it had engine side covers or perhaps because it was a bosch magneto?
I thought copper was still allowed but required resistive plugs to be fitted?

Nope still too plastic. The ones in the pixies are 90 degrees of copper before connecting to the HT lead, the hunt continues.... nothing in tractor or stationary engine parameters either.

I'm sure a phone around the specialists in the club magazine would turn some up? None of this stuff is THAT hard to find is it?

Re: old style copper spark plug connectors for the HT leads
Are you restricting your search to the internet? I think the point was that if you use 'old-fashioned' methods of contacting some of the numerous Minor specialists (many of whom advertise in Minor Matters), like the telephone, other than the usual suspects (BM, Ware's, ESM) who granted are great for supplying the more common parts, then it's quite likely someone somewhere will have something. I've got hold of numerous bits over the years that were unavailable online using similar antiquated methods
