Sandun.
There is a finisher missing. I would best describe it as tubular and wedge-shaped. Those on my split-screen car seem to be made of a hard plastic or rubber material (may not be original). It fits against the bodywork with a circular rubber gasket under it to form a waterproof seal, and is secured by a chrome nut. As far as I can tell new gaskets and nuts are still available in the UK but the finisher itself is NOT obtainable any more. The type used on later cars with one-piece windscreens are still available here in the UK but appear to be made of chrome plated metal and are a different size to the ones you need.

'palace bear' is correct, although the ones on mine are made of aluminium painted in body colour. The later, chrome ones do not fit - they are too big. There must be some to be had on a scrapped splittie (if you can find one) or maybe post in 'wanted'..........strange how a few, odd items are unavailable, given the plethora of most parts..

That's what I like about the forum. Other folks input gives you opportunity to look at things again. My spindle finishers are indeed ally but unpainted and weathered so they appear almost identical in finish to my grey Bakelite steering wheel rimmyoldjalopy wrote: ↑Mon Jun 04, 2018 5:47 pm 'palace bear' is correct, although the ones on mine are made of aluminium painted in body colour. Closer inspection also reveals my sealing gaskets are well past their best, which doubtless explains the periodic slight water ingress into the gloveboxes!
For the benefit of the OP (Sandun), this is what you should have... preferably with unperished rubber gaskets at the base!

Sandun,
It is a rubber peg that fixes the wiper blade to the wiper arm on the split-screen models.....parts 3, 4 and 17 show the assembly in this diagram: https://www.morrisminor.org.uk/parts/52 ... r-assembly

Here's one on my car Sandun. Due to their shape they're sometimes referred to as 'Ducks Feet'
Sorry it's not a very clear picture. Please note mine are fitted upside-down and have been pushed in from beneath the wiper blade rather than from above it.

Re: Any part Missing
If the car is old enough it has a rubber wiper grommet which no longer seems to be on the ESM or other minor websites. This is the nearest alternative I think is available.
