Sadly need to part ways with my Traveller...

Post by Andy W »

A very tough decision but my classic car owning days are numbered - due to a shift in my work & personal circumstances I need to sell my Traveller. :(

I sold my Moss Malvern last year so that's that, as they say.

I have no idea what Millie the Traveller is worth as she has loads of upgrades & is sound & solid but is hard to compare directly to others as she has also been my daily all year runner so by no means a garage queen.

Possibly an eBay auction & let the market decide...I've been deliberately keeping off the forums to wean myself away from Moggies but typically, the band I am in is playing 6 or 7 classic car shows this year! :o

Boo hoo, woe is me, etc, etc.........

Sorry to hear it. I'd certainly try to sell within the club - perhaps through Minor Matters - before resorting to eBay and so on!

There's a "cars for sale" section at the National Rally next weekend...

Nooo Andy!

Sometimes they dont seem to go for much on ebay. Probably best advertising on the forums and play the waiting game. It'll suit someone well who wants one already modified.

Good luck with the sale. Let me know if you need a hand with anything.

... a modified traveller you say? I could do with more space!

My oh my this is difficult!
Perfect roaming the Devon countryside in my Traveller weather, lots of car shows coming up, every time I even look at her I change my mind!
Who'd have thought it could be so hard to sell a car!
But needs must, she has to go, chin up, stiff upper lip & all that stuff!

Apart from clubs and ebay, where to you advertise stuff these days? Years ago Exchange & Mart was the route.
I remember my dad, first thing Thursday morning, up the newsagents buying a copy---- 4d I think! :D

I've had several successes on Car and Classic and it's free.

+1 for "Car & Classic" website.

I bought my Traveller on there and then sold my Austin 7 Special on there a while later.

Sound like a reasonable option for Andy then.

Well, I've bitten the bullet & made a proper start...even if it's only a listing in the For Sale section here! :o

She'll be at a car show in Devon on Sunday so I'll put a sign on her there!
