As part of the ongoing upkeep I replaced the rear shock absorbers yesterday.

Really like those carpets. Can you tell me please where you got them,and what the colour is called

Here I hope is a link to the ebay item, being the carpets I used. Since I am on a tight budget they were the cheapest I could find at the time. The colour is simply described as "red". They involved a bit of cutting here and there though nothing too serious. Asa metter of interest there was no way I could get the metal trim around the gear lever to fit above the carpet. it is underneath.

Thanks Chris. Believe me I understand tight budgets! And those are certainly attractively priced. The surround plate is not an issue for me ,your installation around the stick looks fine and removes the irritating process of locating screw holes through the carpet. All I need now is the permission of the household treasurer. That's the really difficult bit! JohnG
