I've been using an alternator for a while. Just replaced it after a few years as it seems a diode was faulty as the red generator light glowed at low revs. It's a brand new high output one. So far so good.
I had hoped the previous faulty alternator was responsible for the LEDs in the indicators speeding up their flashing on the engine over run and when revs increase. However this happens with the new alternator as well!
Side/ stop and tail/ number plate LEDs all fine.
What if anything is the solution?
I do think LEDs have increased my car's visibility and new LED headlights are great.

Re: LEDs and alternator
Did you fit an electronic flasher unit when you fitted the led indicator bulbs?
Which led headlight bulbs did you fit? (nothing to do with the flasher issue, I'm just interested)

Re: LEDs and alternator
Initially tried to fit first generation led bulbs with associated electrics but they failed to work.
Then gotten most recent generation bulbs from Better Car lighting which are great and have run without fault for about 10 months.
Yes I do think there is also an electronic flasher unit fitted but I will be asking firm above re the current fault
